Space Turtles Roleplay Enhanced

Patch Notes

0.16.2 October 21, 2026

0.16.2 collects everything that has changed since 0.16.1 went live on 20 October 2026. The phone gets its biggest update yet, with Shellmates for finding new mates, photo editing, a flashlight, speakerphone and new app icons. Every gun gets a recoil, range and damage rework, Dark World group jobs pay more, redzones get standby crews, and extra garage slots get far cheaper at the top end.

📱 Phone

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Shellmates

A new app for finding your new mates in the city. Swipe through locals, match with people you click with and get chatting, whether you're after a new best mate, someone to hang out with or something more. Nobody ever sees your phone number.

  • Your profile. Up to six photos from your gallery, a short bio, your sex, who you're interested in and the age range you want to see. Hide yourself from swiping any time, or delete your profile
  • Swipe. Drag a card right to like or left to pass, or use the buttons. Each card shows their photos, age, bio and when they were last active
  • Match. When you both like each other it's a match, and you can start chatting straight away
  • Chat. Send messages, photos and videos from your gallery. New matches and messages come through as phone notifications
  • Stay safe. Unmatch, block or report anyone. Reporting someone also blocks them, and a copy of their profile and your chat is saved so staff can look into it

🖼️ Photo Editing

Open a photo in the Photos app and tap Edit. Edits are saved as a new photo, so your original is never changed.

  • Crop. Crop freely or to square, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 or 9:16, then rotate and flip
  • Adjust. Brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, fade and vignette
  • Filters. 10 looks: Vivid, Warm, Cool, Chrome, Dramatic, Vintage, Faded, Sepia, Mono and Noir, with a live preview of each
  • Markup. Draw on your photo in 8 colours with an adjustable brush, and undo as you go

🔦 Flashlight

  • Tap the flashlight button on your home screen to light up what's in front of you. Everyone nearby sees the beam, and it switches off when you put your phone away
  • There's also a camera shortcut on the home screen, next to the flashlight

🔊 Speakerphone

  • Calls now have a Speaker button. Turn it on and anyone standing right next to you can hear both sides and join in. The person on the other end hears them too
  • People drop out of the call as soon as they walk away, and get a heads-up when they can hear a call on speaker nearby
  • Anyone already on a call of their own isn't pulled into yours

🎨 App Icon Styles

Your apps have a fresh new look, and you choose which one. Pick your style when you set up a new phone, or change it any time in Settings › Wallpaper.

  • Colour. Every app gets its own bright colour tile with a redrawn symbol, so you can spot apps at a glance
  • Soft. Dark tiles with each app's symbol in its own colour and a gentle glow
  • Match my wallpaper colour. With Soft, turn this on and every app takes your theme colour, so a Rose wallpaper makes them all pink
  • Store apps without their own icon now get a coloured letter too

📷 Camera: Video and Flash

On this version of FiveM, photos and videos come out blue for some players. We know about it, and FiveM is working on an update to fix it.

  • Video. Press C in the camera to switch to video and E to start and stop, for clips up to a minute with sound from you and anyone talking nearby. Videos save to your gallery and can be sent in Messages, Shellspace, Shellmates and Quick Share. Turn off Nearby recordings pick up my voice in Settings › Privacy if you don't want to be heard in other people's videos
  • Flash. Press H in the camera to cycle between flash off, flash on and flashlight. Nearby players see the flash go off

🛠️ Phone Fixes

  • Tapping notifications works again. Tapping a notification from Messages, Phone, Shellspace or Shellmates opens the conversation it's about again, and the notification shows the app's icon
  • Phone Link shows photo texts. A text that is only a photo now shows as "📷 Photo" on a paired KOBOS desktop, in the live chat, the chat history and the thread list, instead of a blank bubble. Payments and money requests no longer leave blank bubbles in the desktop's chat history either
  • Phone Link pairs brand new phones. A phone that has never been opened can now be paired straight away, instead of saying no phone was found
  • Business apps stay put. Business, shop and lawyer apps come back after a phone restart, and a call from a business or browser app that fails now shows as failed
  • Texts reach new phones. Dealership and auction texts now reach sellers who have never opened their phone
  • Albanian and Dutch. The phone is now translated into Albanian and Dutch
  • Maps categories wrap onto a new line instead of being cut off, and folding phones no longer show light lines at the hinge

🔫 Weapons

Recoil, range and damage have been rebuilt so every gun in a class handles alike, and better guns feel better to use.

🎯 Recoil Rework

  • Brought in line. Weapons in the same class now share the same handling, scaled by how high end the weapon is in its class. Higher end weapons are steadier than entry level ones
  • Fair for everyone. Recoil no longer changes with your frame rate, and rapid tapping no longer gets around it. Controlled bursts are still the best way to stay on target
  • Shooting skill matters. Newer shooters feel a little more kick, which fades as your Shooting skill improves
  • Less screen shake. Firing no longer shakes the screen enough to be disorienting
  • Musket fixed. The musket shoots straight again. It was picking up sniper rifle spread on every shot, even though it has no scope

📏 Range and Damage Balance

  • Consistent ranges. Every weapon in a class now has the same effective range. Machine pistols are made for close range, pistols and SMGs work best up close to mid range, rifles carry further, and battle rifles reach the furthest
  • Full damage for longer. Most weapons used to lose damage after a short distance. Most now hold full damage further before it tapers off, rifles and battle rifles most of all
  • Headshots always count. A headshot now always does more damage than a body shot, with the bonus scaling by weapon class. Before, some weapons did less damage on a headshot than on the body
  • Weapon finishes now show the right colour as soon as you apply them on regular (non-MK2) weapons

🌑 Dark World

💰 Group Jobs: Better Pay and More Healing Finds

  • Group jobs pay more. Stockpile Raids, Smuggling Runs and Sea Runs now pay more in quiet mode, and on EU-2 they get a further boost on top
  • More healing when you search guards. Searching a guard you've taken down now turns up bandages and painkillers more often, and sometimes a makeshift armour plate, so your crew can patch up between waves
  • More time to gather. Crews now have 7 minutes instead of 5 to meet at the start of a group job
  • Clearer Surplus shelf. The shelf now explains that it opens two ways: contract respect this week opens more of it, and clearing a group job opens its own group section, which stays open the week after too

🔥 Redzones

🪑 Standby Crews Replace No-Shows

When more crews sign up than a fight takes, the crews that aren't drawn now go on standby instead of being sent away.

  • On standby. The notice, ready-up popup and HUD all say "On standby", and standby crews can ready up at any attack circle
  • Stepping in. If a selected crew misses the ready-up deadline, a standby crew that's ready takes its place and its role, including defending the safe, so the fight goes ahead as planned
  • Selected crews are told when a standby crew is waiting
  • A crew on standby can't sign up for another redzone at the same time

🔔 Longer Showdown Sign-up and Fewer Pings

  • Longer Showdown sign-up. Showdowns now wait 30 minutes for a crew before rolling over, the same as a normal redzone
  • Fewer pings. The "redzone fight forming" alert still goes out for every sign-up while crews are joining them. Once sign-ups keep closing with nobody entering, new ones open quietly, with a reminder every two hours, until a crew enters again
  • Showdowns and "a crew is entered" alerts always go out, and every open sign-up is listed in the hub (F6 → Redzones)

🚗 Garages

🅿️ Fairer Extra Slot Prices

Extra vehicle slots at a garage now go up by a fixed amount each time instead of multiplying, so the top end is far cheaper.

  • Cars. The first extra slot is $50,000, and each one after costs $60,000 more. The last slot at a garage is now $950,000 instead of over $21 million
  • Boats. Start at $75,000, then $50,000 more each
  • Aircraft. Start at $150,000, then $100,000 more each
  • The first few car slots cost more than before, but from the sixth one on they're cheaper, and filling a garage completely now costs about $8 million instead of $65 million

✅ Confirmation for Pricey Slots

  • A quick double-click on the buy button no longer buys a slot
  • From the 4th car slot, 3rd boat slot or 2nd aircraft slot you buy at a garage, you tick a box confirming the price before you can buy. The box shows the slot's price and what the next one will cost
  • This works in both the garage menu and the "Garage Slots Full" popup when you park

🐞 Other Changes and Fixes

🏷️ Unregistered Guns in Player Shops

  • A gun in a player shop that had never been registered could never be bought, and every attempt said "That item is no longer in stock". These now sell normally
  • A gun that was never registered stays "Not Registered" when you buy it from a player shop, instead of being registered to you

💼 Jobs and Shops

  • Taxi drivers who finish fares quickly are no longer refused payment
  • NPC shops accept bulk sales again
  • Crafting at the winery's left fermenting tank no longer stops your queue
  • The kitchen shop has moved to the Paleto market

🚗 Vehicles and Players

  • Ten more cars brought over with fixes, including a spawn crash, windows that wouldn't break and tuning parts that sat in the wrong place, plus handling tweaks for two more
  • Other players move more smoothly on your screen
  • Joining the server no longer leaves you with the previous player's carry weight
  • The Eclipse wardrobe is easier to use

🎲 Turtle Games

  • Character names show on screens and name tags, and over heads in Circle of Trust
  • Tug of War pullers move with the rope for everyone, with a tally after each pull
  • Every step of a Sequence path lights up, falling off a Memory pillar puts you out, and landing on Crumble's bottom board no longer kills you

👔 Uniform Fixes for LSMD and LSPD

Some pieces in the ready-made uniforms added in 0.16.1 didn't match the department uniform guides. Each rank's ready-made uniform now matches its guide.

  • LSMD. Corrected undershirts and neck pieces, and removed the decals. Surgeons and Lieutenants no longer wear a vest, and female uniforms no longer use the vest that didn't display properly
  • LSPD. Male officers now get the correct undershirt, trousers, boots and vest, with no mask. Sergeants and up get the right arms, and female officers get the blue gloves
  • SAR, Raid and BSCO uniforms are unchanged

🚓 MDT Search

  • Searching the MDT for a plate or a name with a number in it (like "55ABC123" or "Marcus 5") no longer fills the results with unrelated phone numbers. Phone numbers are only suggested when you search for a number
