🏠 Property Auctions: Major Upgrade

The Dynasty 8 auction board has been rebuilt from the ground up. The look, the way you find a listing, what each card tells you, and what happens after you win are all new. If you have bid on property before, expect to relearn the place.

View Before You Bid
Every shell listing now has an eye icon. Walk the interior in first person before you put money on it.

The Listings board: search, sort and filters across the top, with cards carrying property ID, valuation, countdown and listing source.

A Completely New Interface

  • A permanent sidebar with your bank balance always on show, so you never have to guess what you can afford mid-auction
  • Listings, Gang HQ Listings, Business Listings, My Properties and Settings are now separate sections rather than one long page
  • Two themes: the Dynasty blue house style, or a dark theme if you prefer it
  • The app picks a sensible interface size for your monitor the first time you open it, instead of one size for everyone. Still adjustable in Settings

Finding a Listing

  • Search by property ID, name or street
  • Sort by ending soonest or latest, bid low to high or high to low, price low to high or high to low
  • Filter by listing type (rentals, full ownership, or all) and by category, with price sliders for both the current bid and the original valuation
  • Quick toggles: Only affordable hides anything past your bank balance, Only my listings, and My bid shows just what you have bid on so you can find the lot you just bid on
  • Pagination with a results-per-page control and a live count of how many listings matched
  • Save your filters once and they apply every time you open the board. Clear them from Settings whenever you like
  • A timestamp shows how many seconds ago the board last refreshed, so you always know how fresh the prices are

What a Card Tells You Now

  • The property ID in the top-left, so you can quote it when asking about a listing
  • Valued at the original price, next to the current bid, so you can see what kind of deal it is
  • A countdown that turns amber as time runs short and red when it is nearly gone, with a matching progress bar
  • WINNING if you hold the top bid, OUTBID if you have lost it, with the whole card restyled so you can spot it while scrolling
  • Auto or Player, telling you whether the city listed the property automatically or another player put it up for sale
  • RENTAL where the listing is a tenancy rather than full ownership, with the weekly rent shown
  • No garage, but only where a property does not have one. Everything is assumed to have a garage, so the board is not covered in badges telling you what is already normal

Viewings

  • Click the eye on a listing and you are taken on a viewing: a first-person walk around the interior, WASD to move, mouse to look. Press Backspace to leave and you are put back exactly where you were standing
  • If somebody lives there, you see their actual layout. If it is empty, you get a sample layout of that interior so you can judge the space
  • You can view any listing, not just the one you are bidding on
  • Walk-in shops cannot be viewed this way, and gang HQs do not offer it since you can simply drive to those and look. Both say so rather than leaving you clicking a button that does nothing
  • Viewings are arranged at Dynasty 8, and you cannot slip off to one at an inconvenient moment

Bidding & Your Allowance

  • The bid dialog shows what you will have left after the bid lands, and refuses politely if the bank will not cover it. Unusually large bids ask you to confirm, so a stray zero does not cost you a fortune
  • You can only be the highest bidder on one property at a time, counted across every character on your account, so an alt cannot hold a second lot. Raising your own bid on the property you already lead is unaffected
  • Gang HQs and business properties are counted separately, so an organisation can lead on one of each at the same time
  • My Properties now shows everything in one place, including apartments, which never used to appear
  • A new property allowance panel breaks your limits down by type (owned, rentals, shops, warehouses) with a meter for each that turns red as you approach the cap
Preview My Properties

My Properties: everything you hold in one place, with the allowance panel and its per-type meters underneath.

After You Win

  • The moment your timer runs out the listing stays on the board rather than vanishing. It is marked FINALISING with a WON chip while the sale is confirmed, then moves across to My Properties. Previously it disappeared from every screen at once with nothing to explain where it had gone
  • If confirming ever takes longer than a couple of minutes the card says so plainly and points you at staff, instead of leaving you refreshing and guessing
  • Three separate nudges so a win is never missed: a red badge on My Properties, a notice when you next fly into the city, and a text message naming the property and what you paid. The text reaches you even if you were offline when the auction closed
  • Organisations get the same treatment, so a gang win is not left sitting because the person who bid was not online
  • Outbid anywhere in the city and a notification names the property and the new price. Your money comes back the moment you are outbid, as before
  • Losing bidders get a text when the auction closes, confirming the property is gone and the refund is done
  • Anything you win goes back on the auction if it is not claimed within 24 hours, and you are refunded in full. Every claimable property shows a live countdown to that deadline

🎛️ A New HUD

The in-game HUD has been redesigned to match the new targeting and radial menu styling, and it is now yours to configure. If you preferred the old one, it is still there.

Preview the new HUD
The redesigned HUD in a vehicle, showing the status rings, street label with compass letter, minimap and speedometer
The v2 HUD in a vehicle: status rings and street label bottom-left, speedometer and vehicle indicators bottom-centre.

The New Look

  • Status rings for health, armour, hunger, thirst, stamina, voice and the rest now use thin glowing arcs on a tick-mark track, with a pulse when one appears or changes
  • Your street and area sit beside the rings with a large compass direction letter, and the turf you are standing in still tints the label
  • The speedometer, gear indicator and vehicle warnings share the same style, with fuel, seatbelt and light indicators right beside the dial
  • The weapon panel has been tidied to match

Settings, At Last

  • Open /hudsettings to customise it. Changes apply straight away and are saved on your machine
  • Style: switch between the new look (v2) and the classic HUD (v1). Prefer the old one? Nothing is being taken away
  • Size: scale the whole HUD from 80% to 160%, which fixes it looking tiny on high-resolution screens. The default is now 120%
  • Minimap: rectangle or circle, plus size and position sliders so you can put it where you want it
  • Reset puts everything back to defaults, and the command can be bound to a key under Settings, Key Bindings, FiveM

Compass Bar

  • An optional heading bar across the top of the screen while you are driving: a smooth-scrolling compass with N/E/S/W, intermediate directions and degree marks
  • Your exact heading and the current street can be shown underneath, or hidden if you want it clean
  • Only appears in a vehicle, and hides while you are blindfolded
  • Off by default. Turn it on in HUD settings under Compass bar, with Compass road & heading controlling the readout. Available with the v2 style

🌳 Talent Tree: Rebuilt

The talent tree has been rebuilt from the ground up so bigger, wider trees are easy to read and plan around.

Preview the new talent tree
The redesigned talent tree introduction page with its interactive practice tree
The introduction page, with the hands-on practice tree on the right.

Navigation

  • Drag to pan and scroll to zoom. Every tree fits on screen when you open it, with a fit-to-view button to snap back
  • Compact talent tiles with the full description in a side panel and a hover tooltip, so far more of a tree is visible at once
  • Zoomed out, tiles grow and names move into the tooltip so the layout stays readable

Reading the Tree

  • Colours mean one thing each: amber means you can take it now, blue means unlocked, grey means locked. Selected but unconfirmed talents show a dashed amber outline
  • Solid lines for required prerequisites, dashed lines where only one of several is needed, and long links route around other talents instead of through them
  • Hover or click any talent to see its requirements, what it leads to, and its status. Related talents and lines light up while the rest fade back
  • Talents that come in ranks (I, II, III) now show their rank on the tile

Spending Points

  • Right-click or shift-click a locked talent to select its whole path in one go. The panel shows the path cost against the points you have
  • Confirm now tells you what happened: newly unlocked talents flash, and you get a clear message if anything could not be unlocked
  • The tree updates live, so level up while it is open and your new point appears immediately

Learn It Before You Spend It

  • The introduction page is now a hands-on practice tree instead of screenshots: six talents and six practice points to try selecting, confirming and deselecting before you spend anything real
  • It includes both kinds of prerequisite, one needing all of its solid-line parents and one needing just a single dashed-line parent, so you can see how each behaves
  • A step-by-step caption follows you from your first selection through to completing the tree. Nothing is saved, so reset it as often as you like
Try the talent tree yourself

Talent Points
1 Glowing amber talents are available. Click one to select it.

Quality of Life

  • The skill list has a search box, and skills with points to spend are grouped at the top
  • Scales properly on 1440p and 4K displays
  • Talent descriptions are shown in your server's language
  • Respects your system's reduced-motion setting

🎯 F3 Menu

The F3 wheel has been rebuilt to match the look of the interaction targeting UI, and you can now arrange it however you like.

Preview the new F3 wheel
The redesigned F3 wheel in customise mode, with draggable options and locked entries shown
Customise mode: drag options to rearrange them. Locked entries can be placed ahead of time.

New Wheel Design

  • Smooth animations: the wheel blooms open, submenus slide in under the option you picked, and everything closes just as cleanly
  • The centre of the wheel shows the full name of whatever you are hovering, with a hint of what it does
  • Categories are marked with an outer ring so you can tell at a glance which options open a submenu
  • Scroll or use the arrow keys to cycle options. Once you do, your selection stays put until you move the cursor back onto the wheel. Left click confirms, right click goes back
  • Key hints are shown under the wheel, and the game view softly blurs while it is open
  • The wheel only shows options available to you right now, so it stays uncluttered

Customise Your Layout

  • Press Customize under the wheel, or E while it is open, to enter edit mode, then drag options around to swap their positions
  • Works on the main wheel and inside each submenu. Open the submenu first, then customise
  • Options you cannot use right now, such as job-specific ones, still appear in edit mode greyed out with a lock, so you can place them ahead of time
  • Reset puts the current wheel back to its default order. Done saves, Cancel discards
  • Your layout is saved per character on your own machine

📄 Paperwork You Can Hold

Official paperwork is now a physical item. Records are printed, handed over in person, and carried around like anything else in your pockets.

Printed Arrest Records

  • When an arrest report is filed on you, a printed Arrest Record lands in your inventory. Use it to read it on screen: department letterhead, reference number, your details, the arresting and assisting officers with their badge numbers, every charge with its fine and jail time, the totals actually applied, and whether you were eligible for parole
  • The officer's written description is never printed
  • Officers get a Print button on any report in the MDT (arrests, incidents, BOLOs, APBs, Most Wanted) that hands them a paper copy to give out or keep

Traffic Citations

  • A lighter way to deal with driving offences. Officers can file a Traffic Citation from the report editor or straight from a citizen's record
  • Citations only carry infractions and misdemeanours, so no jail time and no effect on parole. The fine is charged to the driver when the citation is filed, and the driver has to be present
  • The officer receives the printed citation to hand over: driver and vehicle details, each violation with its fine, the total, and the issuing officer's name and badge

When An Officer Lets You Off

  • Printed records now say plainly when an officer chose not to fine or jail you, instead of a confusing $0 total sitting next to charges that carry a penalty
  • A waived fine shows the original amount struck through and marked Waived, with a stamp saying no payment is due and a note that the arresting officer used their discretion. Waived jail time reads the same way
  • A citation issued with no fine is now printed as a written warning: the stamp reads WARNING rather than ISSUED, and the footer explains that nothing was taken and that further violations may be fined in full
  • Reprinting an older report picks up the new layout too

Conditions in Writing

  • When an ankle monitor is fitted, the wearer receives a printed Monitor Conditions sheet: the serial, when enforcement starts and ends, every zone they must stay in or out of with curfew hours, the rules, and what a breach means
  • Enrolling in parole hands you your Terms of Parole: the sentence being paroled, time remaining, fee and deposit paid, monitor serial, the numbered conditions, and exactly what a violation costs
  • Officers can print either from the MDT, from the monitor's record or the parole board

The Documents App

  • Officers can write their own official paperwork from the MDT: notices, receipts, warnings, whatever the situation needs
  • Compose a title, subtitle, a red stamp (NOTICE, APPROVED, RECEIVED), your own letterhead with agency name and department crest, a subject linked to a citizen record, label and value fields, a full rich-text body with headings, lists, tables and colours, plus footer notes, all previewed beside you as you type
  • Placeholders such as ${SubjectName}, ${OfficerName}, ${Badge} and ${Date} fill themselves in when you print
  • Templates: save any composition for next time, just for you, shared with your department, or with everyone
  • Register: every paper printed gets a DOC- reference. Verify a reference someone shows you, preview the original, reprint a lost copy, or open a copy in the composer to adapt it

Document Folder

  • Paperwork piling up in your pockets? Buy a Document Folder from any general store for $150
  • Open it like a bag and drop your printed records in: arrest records, citations, monitor conditions, parole terms. It only takes documents, so nothing else ends up in it by mistake
  • Holds up to fifty documents, and the documents themselves now weigh next to nothing

👮 Police MDT

Desktop Shortcuts & Window Handling

  • Shake to focus: grab a window's title bar and shake it side to side to drop every other window to the taskbar. Shake again to bring them back. Can be turned off under Settings, Startup & layouts
  • Ctrl+Tab window switcher: hold Ctrl and tap Tab to cycle through your open windows, Ctrl+Shift+Tab to go backwards. Release Ctrl to bring the highlighted one to the front
  • Ctrl and the arrow keys maximize, restore, minimize, or snap the active window to the left or right half
  • Middle-click a taskbar app to open another window of it, and right-click a title bar for Minimize others and Close others
  • A full keyboard and mouse shortcuts reference now lives in Settings, Interface

Parole Violations on the Officer's Report

  • Catching a parolee re-offending no longer spawns a separate automatic warrant
  • Filing an arrest, BOLO, APB or Most Wanted on someone on active parole adds a Parole Violation charge to that report automatically, carrying their original sentence at 1.5x on top of the new charges, shown in the charge list and the totals as the officer writes it
  • On an arrest the penalties apply on the spot. On a BOLO or APB they apply when it is linked to the eventual arrest
  • Automatic warrants are now only filed when there is no officer report to attach to, such as a cut-off monitor

💰 Turf Safes & Redzones

  • Redzone neighbourhood safes no longer have a dirty money storage limit. Money earned during an active fight lands in the safe instead of vanishing once it fills up. Regular neighbourhood safes keep their cap
  • The hourly limit on how much black money a safe takes in now only applies to legal work like fishing, mining, trucking and wine making. Money from criminal activity fills the safe at full speed with no hourly restriction, covering drug growing and selling, laundering, boosting, the chop shop, house robberies, smuggling, hacking, redzone wins, and crafting drugs or illegal weapons
  • The safe's total storage limit is unchanged, so controllers still need to empty it before it can take more
  • Weapons kept when you die in an active redzone now lose 20% durability instead of 30%
  • Keeping an illegal class 2 weapon (SMGs and rifles, pistols excluded) adds $25,000 in dirty money to the redzone safe in its place. The safe gets its cut one way or the other

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed longer documents composed in the MDT Documents app printing with the end of the body missing. The preview looked right, but the paper handed over stopped partway through, sometimes on an empty bullet point. Printed papers now contain the full body, documents allow much longer text, and if one is genuinely too long to print you are told before it is issued instead of getting a truncated copy
