A round of improvements following the redesign, covering how you move around a tree, find a talent you half-remember, plan a route to it, and read your progress.
Getting Around
Zoom level and position are now remembered per skill, so switching between trees no longer throws away your view
Reopening the menu drops you back on the tree you were last looking at, rather than the introduction page
A minimap appears in the bottom-right on trees too large to fit on screen. Click or drag it to jump around, and toggle it from the zoom controls
Clicking a talent listed under Requirements or Leads to moves the tree to it, instead of leaving you to hunt for it yourself
Keyboard controls throughout: arrow keys or WASD to pan (hold Shift to move faster), + and - to zoom, F to fit the tree on screen, Ctrl+F to search, Enter to confirm, Delete to clear your selection
Escape steps back one thing at a time: the confirmation, then the search, then the pinned talent, and only then the menu
Finding a Talent
A search box in the top-left matches talent names and descriptions as you type. Matches stay lit while everything else fades back
Results reach across your other skills too, so if you cannot remember which tree a talent lives in, the search will tell you and take you straight there
Arrow keys move through the results, Enter jumps to the highlighted one
Filter buttons in the top-right narrow the tree to Affordable, Available, Unlocked or Locked
Planning a Route
Hovering a locked talent lights up the cheapest chain leading to it, so you can see the whole route at a glance rather than working it out tile by tile
Clicking a talent pins its details to the side panel, so moving the mouse across the tree no longer wipes what you were reading. Click empty space or press Escape to unpin
The side panel shows what a route costs against the points you hold, and a single locked talent now shows its cost too instead of showing nothing
If a route costs more than you have, it tells you how many more levels you need and exactly how much XP that is
Before You Spend
Confirming brings up a summary listing every talent you are about to unlock and what each costs, with a reminder that points only come back with a talent reset item
Undo and redo, on buttons and on Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z, step back through your selections before you commit them. Handy when selecting a whole route pulls in more than you expected
Progress at a Glance
Every skill in the list shows how many of its talents you have unlocked out of the total, turning blue once a tree is finished
Skills holding selections you have not confirmed are marked, so you will not lose track of them after closing the menu
Hovering a skill opens a card with its level, progress percentage, current XP, the XP left to the next level, talent count and any unspent points
The header of the open skill shows how much XP remains to your next level alongside the existing bar
👮 Police MDT
The staff record has been rebuilt, every shift is now on the record, and the screens that used to stall now open straight away.
The Staff Record, Rebuilt
It was five stacked panels in one long scroll, with an officer's name and rank buried in a table and Fire officer tucked under an unrelated panel
A new header puts photo, name, rank, department and callsign at a glance, with the department badge on the photo, a live On Duty / Off Duty indicator and the date of their first ever shift
Headline figures across the top: reports filed, certifications held, hours in the last 30 days, and shifts worked
The record is now tabbed: Overview (rank ladder, department and grade, personal details side by side), then Certifications, Reports, Duty log and History, each with room to breathe
Promote and demote sit on the rank panel and name the rank they move to. Editing has a Cancel that actually puts back what was there, and Citizen record opens the officer's civilian file in one click
Duty Log
Every time an officer goes on or off duty is now recorded, and their shift history appears on their staff record
A Duty log tab lists every shift: when it started, when it ended, and how long it ran. A shift still in progress is marked On shift and counts up live
Shifts that ended because of a disconnect, a logout or a server restart are labelled as such, so the log reads honestly instead of quietly dropping them
Totals at a glance: hours on duty over the last 7 days, the last 30 days and all time, plus shifts worked and longest single shift
Command staff can read anyone's duty log, and every officer can always read their own
Faster Screens
Opening a staff record, a report's history or a vehicle's history used to stall for over a second while the MDT dug through the audit trail. Those lookups are now near-instant
Staff records hold back their employment history until you open that tab, so the record itself opens sooner
The audit log's own listing and its filters got the same treatment
🐢 TurtleHub
The hub's department pages have had a major refresh, and the door is now open to everyone rather than VIP only.
Roster, Statistics and Activity
An updated Roster page for both Police and EMS
A new Roster Statistics page
A new Activity Report showing on-duty time per member, with rank filter chips and a per-day activity calendar
Lieutenants and above in Police and EMS can now use the Roster and Statistics pages without VIP
Visibility is rank aware: LT and above see their own activity plus the ranks below them, while everyone else sees only their own
Getting In Without VIP
Non-VIP members can now log into TurtleHub and see a limited version of it, with its own Welcome page
🎛️ HUD
Ring Glow Toggle
Not a fan of the glow on the new HUD's status rings? You can now turn it off
HUD settings, Ring glow: On / Off. Off removes the bloom from the status rings, vehicle rings, speedometer arc and compass marker, while keeping the same colours and layout
Applies straight away and is remembered on your machine. Reset in HUD settings turns it back on
Applies to the new (v2) HUD style only
🐞 Bug Fixes
LS Customs
Applying pearlescent no longer resets your wheel colour to stock, and changing your wheel colour no longer strips the pearlescent. You can finally have both on the same car
Backing out of the colour picker without saving no longer wipes your other unsaved paint choices. Everything you have picked stays on the car until you buy or close the menu
