Patch Notes

4.25.1 September 1, 2026

📺 Twitch Connector 2.0

The Twitch integration has been rebuilt to run entirely in game. Link your channel from the panel, build rules that turn channel points, bits, subs, follows, raids and chat into effects on your character, manage your rewards, and keep an overlay on stream showing what is running.

No More Companion App
Nothing to download, run or keep updated. This replaces the old Twitch Connector app entirely.

Linking Your Channel

  • Open /twitch or bind a key, press Link Twitch, enter the code shown on twitch.tv/activate. You link once and it stays linked
  • Only members of the STRP Twitch stream team can link, and membership is re-checked each time you connect
  • The Account page shows your linked channel, the permissions granted and live subscription health, and lets you re-link or unlink
  • Nothing Twitch-related appears on screen for anyone who has not opened the panel and linked

Triggers and Action Chains

  • Build "when this happens on my channel, do that to my character" rules from the in-game panel
  • Events cover channel point redemptions, follows, subs, resubs and gifted subs, bits, raids, hype trains, ad breaks, polls, predictions, and chat messages with an optional keyword and mod/VIP/sub filter
  • Each trigger runs a chain of up to eight actions, each with its own settings, an optional delay, and a choice of running after the previous step or alongside it
  • Profiles keep one set of triggers across all your characters, or give a character its own. New characters use your default
  • Per-trigger cooldowns, enable and disable, test-fire, search and filter, and confirmations before anything is deleted
  • Placeholders like {user}, {message} and {amount} can be clicked straight into text fields

A Much Bigger Effect Library

  • Player: drunk walk, forced sprint, launch into the air (an ejector seat if you are driving), set on fire, drain hunger and thirst, soak or dirty you, emotes
  • Vehicle: engine stall, random radio station, check-engine damage, breaking off specific doors and windows, handbrake pulses, alongside the existing tire, control, grip, speed and bail effects
  • Camera and screen: shake styles, random zoom, and screen effects including drunk, trippy, black and white, blur and blackout pulses
  • World: animal followers. Chickens, pigeons, rats, cats, dogs and seagulls that tail you for up to 30 seconds
  • Flow: pick a random effect from a list you choose, plus countdown and wait steps for building sequences
  • The moving box effect has been removed

Channel Points, Refunds and the Kill Switch

  • A Channel points page to create, edit, pause, enable, disable and delete rewards on your channel, showing which triggers use each one
  • Rewards you made elsewhere can be recreated through the connector in one click so they gain the features below
  • The kill switch, on a rebindable key or in the panel, instantly cancels every running effect, blocks new ones, and pauses your connector-managed rewards on Twitch so they cannot be redeemed
  • Auto-refund: if a redemption cannot run, whether the kill switch is on, a cooldown is active, the stream is offline or you are simply not in a vehicle for a car effect, the points go back automatically, with an optional chat reply explaining why
  • Safety settings: master on and off, "only while live", a global cooldown, an effects-per-minute cap, and effects on or off per character

Bits and Chat Commands

  • Cheer triggers fire on bits, with a minimum and optional maximum amount per tier
  • Viewers can type !effects, !bits or !rewards and your channel replies with your current bit menu, on a cooldown you control
  • A Post bit menu to chat button does the same on demand

Stream Page

  • Live stats for viewers, uptime, followers and subs, refreshed every minute
  • Edit your stream title, category with search, and tags directly on Twitch
  • Clip that, also available on a rebindable key, and run an ad break from 30 to 180 seconds, with the next scheduled ad shown

On-Screen Overlay

  • A status badge showing whether effects are live or paused, your connection, LIVE, an ad-break countdown, and optional viewers, uptime, followers and subs
  • A chat overlay with name colours and badges that back-fills recent messages when it appears, with optional auto-hide
  • Effect timers naming the viewer and the effect, with a countdown bar for everything still running
  • Themed notification toasts naming the viewer, in the corner of your choice
  • Everything is movable and resizable, with shared opacity, rounding, outline and shadow, plus per-widget style, colours and size

Live Feed

  • A running log inside the panel of every event your channel sends and what happened to it
  • Shows who did what, which trigger matched, which effects ran, and when something was skipped, exactly why: cooldown, kill switch, stream offline, not in a vehicle
  • Jump straight to the trigger that fired, or create a new trigger pre-filled from any event in the feed

🫀 Death Screen: Full Redesign

The death screen has been rebuilt from scratch, with a look that matches the new targeting and menu interfaces.

The New Look

  • An animated heartbeat monitor line, with a large respawn and bleed-out timer
  • It now tells you what actually took you down, such as "Gunshot wound, Left Leg"
  • Clear key prompts for calling a medic, getting treatment at a hospital, and a hold-to-respawn bar
  • The screen and the heartbeat grow more urgent as you get close to bleeding out or drowning

Body Map

  • A silhouette of your body shows where you are injured and how badly
  • When a medic treats you, you can see exactly which part of your body they are working on

Medics and Dispatch

  • After calling for help, the screen tells you when a medic has picked up your call, so you are not left wondering whether anyone heard
  • Being defibrillated comes with a charge-up sound and monitor beeps when your heart restarts

Sound

  • A faint background heartbeat while you are down, quickening as time runs out
  • A flatline tone that builds while you choose to take the light
  • All of it can be switched off with /mutedeathsounds
  • Once your respawn timer is up, a reminder appears that your character cannot remember the events leading up to their death

🏠 Housing and Property Auctions

Doors Tell You The Real Auction Status

  • Checking the door of an auction-only property now gives you a real answer instead of a generic message
  • You will see whether it is up for auction right now, whether an auction just ended and the winner is claiming it, whether it recently went unsold and returns soon, or whether it is queued for an upcoming listing cycle

A Fairer, Fuller Rotation

  • Up to 100 new listings for unowned rental properties go up each cycle. Not all properties go up at once, and if a property did not get won at auction it would end up going up again in the next cycle, leading you to see the same ones rather than the other listings that never made it into the cycle
  • Those 100 slots are now filled by working round-robin through the categories, so shops, high tier homes, mid tier, low tier and industrial units each get a share of the board, rather than whichever properties happened to come first in the list
  • Within a category the least recently listed goes first, so a property cannot sit at the back of the queue forever waiting for its turn
  • A property that went to auction and drew no bids sits out two days before it can return, which frees space for homes that have never had a turn
  • The result is a fairer share of what is actually available, and every unowned property works its way onto the board eventually

Fixed: Falling Through Your Home On Relog

  • Logging back in inside an apartment or house no longer risks dropping you through the floor to your death
  • You are held safely in place until the interior has loaded around you, and if it cannot finish in time you are returned to the front entrance rather than left to fall
  • This was most noticeable in the larger apartment buildings when logging in from across the map

Fixed: Belongings Surviving A Lost Property

  • Items could lose their progress when a property was sold, repossessed or cleared for inactivity
  • Aging wine barrels now arrive in Housing Storage with their full age intact. Many were coming back reset
  • Upgraded Loadout Lockers keep the tier you paid for
  • The hand-over is more resilient overall, so one problematic item can no longer disrupt the rest of your belongings being returned

Fixed: Gang Bids Pull From The Gang Bank

  • Bidding on gang HQ auctions was rejecting bids even when the gang had plenty of money. The bid menu now checks and spends from the gang bank rather than your personal account
  • Raising your own top bid only charges the difference. Topping yourself from 40M to 45M now costs 5M, not the full 45M again
  • If you genuinely cannot afford a bid, the message tells you exactly how much is needed and how much the account holds
  • If a listing closes at the exact moment you bid, your money is returned automatically

🎒 Loadout Locker Upgrades

The Loadout Locker can now be upgraded to hold more, in three steps.

Capacity and Cost

  • Base 200kg, then Tier 1 at 300kg for $250,000, Tier 2 at 400kg for $500,000, and Tier 3 at 500kg for $1,000,000
  • Walk up to a locker you have access to and pick Upgrade Locker. Each step is paid from your bank and takes effect straight away
  • Anyone with a key to the property can upgrade a locker, not only the owner

Upgrades Stay With The Locker

  • Pick a locker up and place it elsewhere and it keeps the capacity you paid for, even in a different property, and it keeps its tier if it changes hands
  • Upgraded lockers show their tier in the name and carry a coloured border in your inventory, so you can tell them apart at a glance
  • Most properties allow one Loadout Locker. Mansions, Highend houses and Big Warehouses allow two. Lockers still count toward the property's normal storage furniture limit

💀 Criminal Work

ATM Hacks: Cooldowns and Bigger Rewards

  • Hacking an ATM now puts that specific machine on a 30 minute cooldown for you. Other machines are unaffected, and other people can still hit the one you just did
  • The check runs before anything starts, so a machine still cooling down tells you up front with the time left, rather than letting you work the whole chain for nothing
  • Machines standing close together count as one spot, so stepping around a bank of ATMs will not get you a second run
  • Walking away part way through costs you nothing. The cooldown only lands once you have been paid
  • To match, a successful hack now earns your crew 25 neighbourhood influence, up from 10, and pays 60 crew XP, up from 45. Turf rewards still only apply inside a crew neighbourhood
  • Phone hacks are unaffected

Syndicate Ops: Clearance By Lead Difficulty

  • How much gauntlet clearance your cell needs now depends on the lead you buy, rather than a flat rule
  • 20% masking leads are open to everyone, with no clearance needed, so a fresh cell can run their first op together
  • 30% masking leads need every operator to have cleared Gauntlet I, and 40% leads need Gauntlet II
  • The lobby shows who still owes a clearance once your leader secures a lead that demands one

Black Market: No More Worthless Weapons

  • Weapons below 15% durability can no longer be listed for sale at black market stalls, so nobody gets fooled into buying a gun with nothing left in it

Fixed: Icebreaker Now Works At Vangelico

  • The Icebreaker hacking talent promises extra time and one free retry on heist hacks. At Vangelico it was doing neither. Both timed hacks there now honour it
  • The security box that kills the alarm gives an extra eight seconds, and if the clock runs out the board reshuffles for a second go instead of failing you outright
  • The shutter panel gets the same eight seconds and a single re-run on failure
  • You still only get one free retry per heist, shared between the two. The vault combination panel is unchanged, since it has never had a time limit or a wrong-code limit for the talent to help with
  • The heist countdown banner also no longer slides away early or freezes part way through a job

Fixed: Grand Senora Equipment List

  • The equipment list shown for the Grand Senora heist was incorrect and has been corrected

🚔 Police, Radio and Bodycam

Worn Radio

  • Police can now wear their SC20 radio on their uniform, visible to everyone around them
  • Turn it on via /radiosettings under Worn Radio, or the radio's own Settings, Appearance page. It is off by default
  • Adjust Worn Radio opens a visual editor: the camera zooms to your chest and you fine-tune position and angle with live preview, so it sits right on any uniform
  • It disappears automatically while you are actually holding the radio, and while transmitting with the animation that raises it to your mouth
  • Your choice and your adjusted position are remembered

Bodycam: Visual Mount Editor

  • Positioning your bodycam is no longer a guessing game with sliders
  • Bodycam settings, Customize Mount, Adjust Position now opens a visual editor: the camera zooms in on the bodycam and you move and rotate it with live preview
  • It starts from wherever your bodycam currently sits, so you can fine-tune a built-in position into your own
  • Built-in positions, saved mounts and the chest or belt bone picker all work as before

Fixed: Losing Your Last Radio Switches It Off

  • Dropping, losing or having your last radio taken now properly powers it off and disconnects you from the channel
  • Previously you stayed connected and could keep hearing, and talking on, a channel with no radio in your inventory

🌳 Talent Tree

Grapes Before Coca Plant

  • Coca Plant in the Gathering tree now sits behind Chardonnay Grapes, which is the single entry point into Gathering
  • Spending your very first talent point on Coca Plant used to leave you unable to harvest grapes until you earned another. That dead end is gone
  • Everything further up the coca branch is unchanged, and anyone who already has Coca Plant keeps it. No points are lost or refunded

🚀 Stability and Performance

Fixed: Teleported Back To Where You Logged In

  • Some players were being pulled back to the exact spot they logged in at, sometimes hours into a session
  • It struck when the screen faded to black, so walking through a door, taking a lift or heading into a building could land you somewhere across the map instead
  • You now stay where you are meant to be whenever the screen fades, and armour is no longer wiped when it happens
  • Loading into your character is also faster for anyone who was hitting this

Server Performance

  • A round of behind the scenes work to reduce stalls and crashes, most noticeable when the server is full
  • Nearby property information is no longer loaded for you while you are busy in an instanced activity, such as an arena match, a vehicle test drive, the furniture store, a charter flight or a property viewing
  • Some slow background data lookups have been sped up

🐞 Other Fixes

  • LS Customs freecam key. The freecam at the vehicle customization shop was not turning on for some players when pressing Q. This affected anyone playing with Caps Lock on or using a non-English keyboard layout, and the key now works regardless of layout or Caps Lock
