Space Turtles Roleplay · Enhanced

Patch Notes

0.13.0 Out now

πŸ“± Phone

First-Time Setup

Your phone walks you through setup the first time you open it:

  • Name your device, and choose whether it starts as a phone or a tablet
  • Pick a wallpaper and set your notification sounds
  • Decide who can Quick Share with you, and whether you want Reef alerts
  • Everything can be changed later in Settings, and "Set up device again" runs the whole thing from the start

Wallpapers and Colour

  • Twelve wallpapers to choose from, three of them turtle themed
  • Any photo from your camera roll can be set as your wallpaper
  • Buttons, the clock and highlights take on the tone of your wallpaper
  • The picker previews each wallpaper in its own colour, so you can see the result before choosing
  • Turn the tinting off with "Colour follows wallpaper" in Settings if you prefer the classic look

App Folders and Search

  • Hold to enter edit mode, then drag one app onto another to make a folder
  • Rename a folder, pull apps back out of it, or dissolve it
  • Folders work in both phone and tablet layouts
  • Search at the top of the drawer finds any app by name, and a miss offers to open the App Store

Photos

  • Photos open full screen, and you can swipe or arrow through your camera roll
  • See when a photo was taken, share it, set it as your wallpaper, or delete it
  • Deleting asks for confirmation first
  • Photos in Messages and on Shellspace can be tapped to view at full size

Polish

A sweep through the rest of the phone to make it feel finished:

  • Folding between phone and tablet scales instead of snapping
  • Uninstalling an app, or deleting a photo, contact or conversation, asks first
  • Small confirmations appear as toasts instead of popups
  • Every app has a proper empty state that tells you what to do next
  • The dialer is a real keypad, and the calculator has a history and handles big numbers
  • Wallet and Garage are readable again
  • Unread counts on Messages and Mail, cleaner app icons, and the software version shown in Settings

🐚 Shellspace

  • You no longer need an account to read Shellspace: anyone can browse The Reef, view public profiles and open photos
  • Liking, commenting, posting and messaging still need an account, and tapping any of those takes you straight to login
  • New Reef alerts notify you the moment anyone posts on The Reef
  • Reef alerts are on by default, and can be switched off in phone Settings or on your Shellspace profile
  • Posts from people you have blocked never notify you

πŸš‘ Medical Treatment Panel

The medic's treatment view has been rebuilt to show more and get in the way less.
Special thanks to @Theodore for helping in big ways with the redesign! :D

Treating a Patient

  • Every treatment item has its own animation on the wound, timed to the treatment: the bullet works loose under the tweezers, stitches close a wound, the ice pack presses on, the defib paddles charge and fire on the shock
  • Treatments queue and play one after another instead of on top of each other, and a drop that is waiting shows as queued on the wound
  • The separate progress circle over the patient is gone, because the animation on the wound is the progress
  • Click a tool to apply it to the selected wound, or drag it on as before
  • The tray is grouped into heal, treat and revive, with every tool named
  • Tools you have run out of are greyed, and tools that cannot help the selected wound dim
  • Counts update live if you are handed supplies while the panel is open

Knowing What Is Wrong

  • The dark card is gone: the injury readout now floats over the world as a damage ring with one chip per injury
  • It stays readable against sky and bright walls
  • Bones that need attention show their name, and the damage percentage from 50% up

When Something Is Refused

  • The wound tells you why: wrong tool and which one it needs, cancelled, cannot treat from a vehicle, needs a hospital bed, or treat the injuries first
  • A revive the patient is not ready for is refused straight away with the reason, instead of after the full CPR
  • Esc closes the panel, X cancels a treatment in progress

Fixed Along the Way

  • The severity ring now shows the damage arc it always should have
  • A revived patient no longer keeps their old cause of death, so later injuries are not wrongly marked as fatal

πŸ†˜ Reports

  • After submitting, you land inside your new report with a confirmation that staff have been notified
  • A closed report ends with who closed it and when, plus a "Still need help?" button that starts a new one
  • Half typed replies are saved: close the panel, reopen it, and your draft is still there, even after a relog
  • Replies can span multiple lines with Shift+Enter, the message box grows as you type, and long threads show date separators
  • Your own report no longer shows staff's internal tags
  • Press Alt to hand control back to the game while the panel stays on screen, so you can drive, walk and fight while watching a thread update. Alt again, or your report key, takes it back
  • Staff can send you a guidebook link as a button that opens the right page in F9, and the panel steps out of the way until you close it
  • Staff can send you a waypoint as a button labelled with the street it is on, and clicking it sets the same waypoint on your own map
  • Our staff side of reports has had a big pass too, to make handling and answering reports faster

πŸš— Plate Designer

Using a Custom License or a Stolen License now opens a plate designer instead of a plain text box:

  • Your plate is shown exactly as it will look on the car: the same lettering, the same eight slots, the same centring the game uses
  • Type straight onto the plate and watch it fill in slot by slot, spaces included
  • Check whether your plate text is free before using the item
  • See the current plate on your car next to the new one, along with what the item costs
  • Nothing is spent until you fit the plate
  • The Custom License looks like a DMV registration, the Stolen License an unregistered swap
  • A Custom License can no longer be used on a vehicle with a scratched VIN, and a Stolen License only fits a vehicle that has one. The item is not consumed either way
  • Available in English, Dutch and Albanian

πŸ—ΊοΈ Map and HUD

  • A blip size slider in the Minimap tab of HUD settings
  • The weapon readout now sits at the minimap's inner corner
  • A dark tint on the full map, with the map's client cost cut by about half
  • Long range blips stay on the rim when the minimap is tilted
  • Four phantom circles on the edge of the minimap are gone, and markers meant to be invisible now stay invisible

🚀 Dealerships and Trucking

  • The Premium Boat Dealership is back: the NPC is reachable at the marina dock, with boats in the showroom to buy
  • The trucking rental menu now only offers trucks that are actually enabled, so you cannot pick one that will never turn up
  • Trucking cargo containers now spawn server side, and any hooked trailer is detected
  • Chopped armoured trucks are despawned once they have been emptied
  • Finished vehicles left unattended at the laundering depot are cleared away

πŸ” Brought Over From the Main Server

  • The crew hub rebuild, with sign-up redzones and turf seniority
  • Painkillers and status effects now behave as they do on the main server
  • Premium garage fix
  • Faster MDT audit log searching, and one or two letter search terms are ignored
  • Medic roster shift and revive stats load faster
  • Vehicle damage handling now idles when there is nothing to do, for a little more performance
  • Thermite Charges no longer drop from Purge crates, since nothing uses them any more

🐞 Fixes

  • Helicopter refuelling is back, with all 14 fuel points live again: LSIA, MRPD, Pillbox, Dorset, Backlot, Vespucci, Bay City, Eclipse, the Casino roof, Sandy PD and EMS, Paleto PD and EMS, and Juniper
  • The police radio prop loads again, and you can position it with /radiosettings
  • Trucking cargo containers spawn the right way round, so the handler can actually pick them up
  • Dealerships no longer sell or rent vehicles whose models are not enabled on the server
  • The Tebex purchase message points you at the right place instead of sending you to the casino
  • The player ID overlay (U) now works while spectating
  • The disconnect message is back when you hold U on the scoreboard
  • Long interaction labels are no longer cut off in the targeting UI
  • Fixed false bans for "spamming tugs" that could hit players who had never spawned anything, including bans inherited from whoever previously held your server slot. If you were caught by this, put in an appeal
  • The ankle monitor now has its proper model
  • Ticking Banking on a crew or business rank now gives everyone in that rank bank access straight away instead of after a restart, and anyone hired or promoted into it gets it too
  • Members start with deposit and withdraw, with transfers, managing other members and daily limits set per person at the bank
  • Bank settings made at the bank now stick through restarts and rank changes
  • Unticking Banking asks you to confirm, then removes bank access from everyone in that rank
  • Wi-Fi sniffing unlocks on the Wardriver talent alone, instead of also waiting for Hacking level 5
  • The second high-tier bartering shop for HackNet gear is back
  • The drug hand-off no longer crashes clients, and bystanders can see the bag change hands
  • Closing a menu no longer leaks the click into the game as a punch or a shot
  • The second Efficient Hammering rank now counts in the crafting speed-up minigame
  • Fishing turf cuts are paid on real dealer prices
  • Cooked fish prices scale with rarity and portion count
  • Mid-tier apartments have two more shells to choose from, and a property shell that was crashing Enhanced clients has been removed
  • The Tebex delivery popup has a new image you can click to enlarge, and it no longer lets a click through as a punch
  • A report reply now sends once no matter how slow the server is or how long Enter is held
