Space Turtles Roleplay

Patch Notes

4.26.1 Out now

4.26.1 is a collection of everything that went live between 6 and 15 September 2026. Most of it has already been on the server for a few days, so some of this may look familiar.

🎯 Shooting: Talent Tree

The Shooting skill now has a talent tree. The points you earn levelling it up finally have somewhere to go.

Lean with Q / E
Take Tactical Lean and you can peek round cover while aiming on foot, without stepping fully into the open.

Tactical Lean

  • Lean left and right while aiming a gun on foot (Q / E by default) to look round cover without exposing yourself
  • The lean drops automatically if your weapon would end up clipping into a wall
  • Toggle Lean switches between holding the key to lean and tapping it to lean and stand. Use /leanmode to flip between the two

Quick Lean and Quick Draw

  • Quick Lean I to IV. Each tier shortens the pause between leans
  • Quick Draw I to IV. Each tier speeds up drawing and holstering weapons, up to 20% faster at the top tier

📹 Bodycam: OBS and Medal

Record your bodycam through OBS Studio or Medal instead of the built-in recorder, if you already run one of those. Handy if the in-game recorder was costing you frames.

Pick Your Recorder

  • Choose your recorder in the bodycam settings under the General tab. Recording, the replay buffer, the body-worn camera light and the recording beeps all work the same either way
  • OBS. A "Set up OBS scene" button builds a ready-made scene for you: a capture of the game plus your microphone and desktop audio, nothing to configure by hand. A live snapshot in the settings window shows exactly what OBS is seeing
  • Medal. Stopping a recording clips what you just recorded into your Medal library, and saving the replay buffer clips your replay window the same way
  • If OBS or Medal isn't running, or the connection drops, your bodycam status shows an ERROR indicator and the recordings window shows a clear warning until it reconnects. It retries in the background, so you don't have to do anything

Edit and Upload OBS Recordings In Game

  • Recordings made through OBS show up in your bodycam window too, so you don't need to leave the game to grab a clip. Play them back with sound, with a thumbnail before you even open one
  • A full clip editor lets you trim a recording, cut multiple clips from one long recording, and pick exactly where each one starts and ends down to the frame, on a scrubbable timeline with thumbnails and the audio waveform
  • Upload trimmed clips straight from the editor. They show up under My Uploads like an in-game recording, ready to attach as evidence. Clips have a maximum size to keep uploads quick
  • You can also open a recording in your normal video player, or jump straight to it in your file explorer
  • Playing or editing OBS recordings this way needs a small one-time add-on for OBS. The settings window walks you through installing it, and tells you plainly if a feature needs it

💊 Medical: Treatment Panel Rework

The medic's treatment view has been rebuilt to show more and get in the way less.

Treating a Patient

  • Every treatment item has its own animation on the wound, timed to the treatment: the bullet works loose under the tweezers, stitches close a wound, the ice pack presses on, the defib paddles charge and fire on the shock
  • Treatments queue and play one after another instead of on top of each other. A drop that's waiting shows as queued on the wound
  • Click a tool to apply it to the selected wound, or drag it on as before
  • The tray is grouped into heal, treat and revive. Every tool is named, tools you've run out of are greyed, and once a wound is selected the tools that can't help it dim
  • Counts update live if you're handed supplies while the panel is open
  • The separate progress circle over the patient is gone. The animation on the wound is the progress

Knowing What's Wrong

  • The dark card is gone. The injury readout floats over the world as a damage ring and one chip per injury, and stays readable against sky and bright walls
  • Bones that need attention show their name, and the damage percentage from 50% up
  • Injured bones carry a clear marker that reads on any background

When Something's Refused

  • The wound tells you why: wrong tool (and which one it needs), cancelled, can't treat from a vehicle, needs a hospital bed, or treat the injuries first
  • A revive the patient isn't ready for is refused straight away with the reason, instead of after the full CPR
  • Close and Cancel are on screen. Esc closes the panel, X cancels a treatment in progress, or click either

Fixed Along the Way

  • The severity ring now shows the damage arc it always should have
  • A revived patient no longer keeps their old cause of death, so later injuries aren't wrongly marked as fatal
  • The defibrillator charge tone no longer rings on forever
  • Police treatments animate for the whole treatment instead of freezing early
  • Icons no longer disappear if the font service is unreachable, and the panel respects the Windows "show animations" setting

EMS MDT Roster

  • The staff roster loads faster, and the Last Shift column now reflects the medic's own pay rather than activity on a shared account
  • Promotions and demotions now show the medic's actual new rank instead of "Medic"

🚔 Police

Property Garage Raids

Police can now raid the garage of a player owned property, a feature from the old housing system that was missing.

  • Look for Vehicle Raid at the property's front door, next to Breach Door
  • Enter the plate from your warrant. If that vehicle is stored in the property's garage, it is brought out at the garage exit
  • Available to Police from grade 7, and to FIB and CID agents from grade 6, the same as raiding a public garage
  • You need to be at the property, either at its front door or at its garage
  • Blackmarket properties cannot be raided, the same as with breaching
  • Raiding a public garage now also requires the officer to be at that garage

MDT: Faster Forensics and Department Roles

  • The forensics tab refreshes without slowing the server down, however many officers are watching it
  • Announcements and intelligence load department lists instantly
  • In the Departments editor, unticking a role on a grade now works in one click. Previously it could take many clicks before the role actually cleared

MDT: Faster Audit Log Search

  • Searching the audit log is quicker and no longer bogs the server down while you type
  • Typing quickly runs one search for the final text instead of one per keystroke
  • One or two letter terms are ignored, so the list stays unfiltered until you type something meaningful

🛡️ Crew Hub: Home Page Without a Crew

Opening the crew hub (F6) without a crew now gives you something useful to read instead of an empty screen.

  • Invites sit in a compact strip at the top with Accept and Deny, next to the button to browse recruiting crews. A note from a crew that removed you, or your recruitment cooldown, shows above it
  • What a crew gives you. Private radio, crew HQ, turfs and redzones, armoury unlocks, society bank, wars and events
  • How crew XP works. Where XP comes from, the first level milestones and what they unlock, and how seasons reset
  • Getting in. Joining a recruiting crew versus starting your own, what New, Regular and Senior standing mean, and the 5-day lock after joining a crew
  • The season reset countdown now shows in the top bar for players without a crew too

Banking Permission Fixes

Follow-up to the Banking permission fix in 4.26.0.

  • Ticking Banking on a rank now gives everyone in that rank access to the crew bank account straight away, instead of after the next server restart. Anyone hired or promoted into the rank gets it too
  • Members start with deposit and withdraw. Transfers, managing other members and daily limits are set per person at the bank
  • Settings made at the bank were being reset after a restart or a rank change. They now stick
  • Unticking Banking asks you to confirm, then removes bank access from everyone in that rank
  • Business ranks work the same way

Roster Cap

  • Closing and reopening the crew hub could briefly show your roster out of 20 members instead of the real limit of 15. The hub now always shows the correct cap

🚗 Vehicles

Stolen Vehicles Can Be Traded

  • Vehicles marked as stolen can now be included in a vehicle trade. Previously a trade with one would run all the way through negotiation and both confirmations, then fail at the last step, losing the whole trade for both players
  • Trades are still refused for vehicles that are out of the garage, impounded, job vehicles, or inside the three day trade cooldown

Impound Timers Count Real Time

  • Impound timers now count down by the clock instead of ticking over once an hour. A 1 hour impound lasts a full hour, no matter what minute the vehicle was impounded
  • Time keeps counting while the server restarts, so a scheduled restart no longer adds to your wait
  • The hourly impound update has been removed, taking away a small server hiccup that happened every hour

Dealership Account Limits

  • Some showroom vehicles are limited to a set number per account. That limit used to count VIN-scratched vehicles too, so a scratched version of a car in your garage could stop the dealership selling you a legitimate one
  • The per-account limit now only counts vehicles you actually bought, across all of your characters, including any you currently have up for sale on the marketplace. Scratched vehicles no longer take up a slot

Premium Garages

  • Premium garages now tell you when you can't afford the retrieval fee instead of silently doing nothing. The fee is taken from your bank account, so carrying cash won't cover it
  • Holding exactly the fee is now enough to pay it

🏠 Housing

No Longer Stuck After Logging Out Indoors

  • Logging out while inside a property and then logging back in could leave you standing in the interior with no exit prompt. Logging out indoors now behaves the way a disconnect always has: you come back inside your property properly, with the exit right where you left it
  • The unstuck command is now /unstuckproperty, since it covers apartments, trailers and everything else rather than just houses. The old /unstuckhouse still works
  • If you do end up stranded, admins can now pull you out even when the server has lost track of where you were, so opening a report actually gets you moving again

💻 HackNet

Wi-Fi Sniffing Only Needs the Wardriver Talent

  • Wi-Fi sniffing with a field kit now unlocks the moment you take the Wardriver talent in the Hacking tree. It used to also want Hacking level 5, so the Sniff option could show on your kit while the job refused to start
  • You still need a field kit, still have to get within range of the network, and higher-tier networks still need a better kit to reach them

Field Jobs Wear the Kit You Actually Used

  • If you carried more than one field kit, a tower or Wi-Fi job could take durability off the wrong one. Field jobs now remember which kit you opened the Field Ops handheld from and put the wear on that kit
  • Syndicate runners get the same treatment. The op wears the lowest-tier kit in your bag that meets its requirement, so a Mk III no longer takes the hit when a Mk II would have done the job

🩹 Medical Fixes

  • Limping and bleeding on relog. Reconnecting no longer silently drops a limp or a bleed, so quitting to desktop is no longer a way out of bleeding out
  • Character switches. A limp or bleed no longer carries over onto the next character you load, where bandages and painkillers couldn't clear it
  • Painkillers. They now actually clear limping. Since release they were consumed and gave the armour bump, but the limp cure never applied

🐞 Other Changes and Fixes

  • Treasure maps and Purge crates. Thermite Charges no longer turn up in digs or crates
  • Arena. Fixed arena related performance issues
  • Accessibility. Text colour contrast and default font sizes have been improved across several of the newer menus, including the HUD and targeting settings, so they are readable for more people
  • Store robberies. Loot now respects your inventory weight limit, and you are no longer told you found loot that never made it into your inventory
  • Minimap. Four faint circles used to sit on the edge of the new minimap no matter where you were. They're gone, and markers that are meant to be invisible now stay invisible on the minimap, as they already did on the full map
  • Tasers. Fixed the aiming laser appearing as active as soon as you ducked into cover, even without aiming out. It now only shows once you actually aim from cover
  • Loading screen. Added a fallback so the loading screen keeps working when announcements can't be loaded
  • Chop shop. Fixed players being wrongly flagged when finishing a chop just outside the edge of the chop shop boundary
